MATERIALS · Blend of Stoneware clays with added molochite speckle. The surface is decorated with Porcelain slip and glazed on the interior only with a transparent glaze.
form · Traditional tall jar, loosely inspired by Korean moon jars. This piece is created by attaching two wheel thrown forms, before being modified and turned on the wheel. The design is inspired by the grey pebbles and rock surfaces with quartz veins running through them, a nod to the beauty that nature provides on our stunning coastline. The unglazed surface has a familiar feel, like taking a favourite pebble home from the beach.
